books, city maps, hifi speakers, wash machine, shower, spacious kitchen counter and all necessary appliances. The window fills up the whole studio and is beautifully warm and sunny in the morning. Please note the toilets are located outside the studio and are communal however you will receive a key to enter and also they are cleaned on regular basis.
I have been hosting many travelers and am always happy to welcome you and help out so you will have a comfortable stay.
As to the apartments fantastic location, its 4 min. basically two stops to Tower Bridge by DLR, 5 min to Bank station from where you can reach any part of London.
20 min to Regents Canal, Victoria park, Brick Lane, Liverpool Street and Tower Bridge. The river Thames is only one street away and you can have beautiful walks into city center or check out the giant canary wharf building towers. Please note that there is many Barclays bike rental stations around which make a tour through the city much more enjoyable.

Inga did not meet us at the time we agreed on and did not answer the phone. We had to call Wimdus hotline that helped us reach Inga on another mobilenumber. The long wait outside in a gray o rainy London was neither funny or useful for the cold. The apartment / room was not empty and or cleaned when we got there. The previous guests did not check out until the evening so we had to leave your luggage in the room. It did not feel quite ok. Inga said she was very sorry and said that this had never happened before, but almost a day of our short stay was destroyed. The actual accommodation was not so good. We knew of the previous guests that it was a spartan accommodation but for the sake of it need not be so dirty. No, here you little tips to get a much better accommodation. Place a "click floor" (available cheaply at IKEA). Paint the shelves and walls etc. and discard all the old dried flowers. Rub the big beautiful window and to ensure that fresh new curtains can be drawn on so that the streetlights from the courtyard does not shine you straight in the eye when you sleeping. The shower area needs a new long drapery and kitchen area also needs to be freshened. The sleeping loft needs to be strengthened up and a little paint would not hurt Likewise, new sheets and towels out of place. The toilet in the corridor was quite ok but a little cold. The proposed measures are not so costly but would certainly raise this accommodation at least one notch. Location of the accommodation was good. Close to subway (DLR) and the bus. Encourages bus 15 to Trafalgar Square including driving past the Tower of London.
upon arriving and after warning of the time i would arrive, i was made to wait outside in a courtyard for 15 minutes. when eventually getting to the apartment i discovered the washing machine was full of someone elses dirty washing. On the first evening was quite frightened hearing someone trying to enter who turned out to be the owner with a friend because she had 'forgotten something' and thought we were out!!! When moving the cushions from the sofa we also discovered more dirty clothes behind them!! The ladder leading up to the sleeping area was also very dangerous asone side of the fixtures to the wall was missing making going up and down unstable and dangerous. The window also did not close at all. I would not reccommend staying here.
The only good thing thing is the DLR line is nearby making getting into the centre of London easy.
Inga's studio is great! There are many artists and musicians in Cable street studios, very interesting place to stay! Inga is very friendly. The dockland is a nice location. We only stayed for one night, which was a shame, we will be very happy to stay there again.
we were 2 students passing by London on the way to Glasgow and the apartment is absolutely brilliant! my house was being renovated so this was great deal for the price! more than enough space for 2 people, looks great and is very convenient and comfortable. we were there in Dec and didn’t have any problem with the temperature, the studio is quite cosy. few minutes from the city with the DLR. having lived in Kensigton for 8 years, I didn’t even mind its location in the docklands. absolutely safe and nice neighbourhood. I would recommend this to anyone our age just exploring the city or is simply passing through.
Satisfied with our visit! Good communication with Inga, friendly neighbours and felt like a safe place to stay. Easy to get to central London with the overground station nearby. Simple living but clean and fitted with the essentials! Recommended for back packers :)
I wouldn't stay here with anymore than 2 people, unfortunately we made that mistake and booked for 3. It is TINY!! Other than that, it serves its purpose and is close to some chill pubs and the DLR station is right on the corner.
the missing star is for the missing loo ! the other 4 stars are for the absolute difference of the studio. I spend 8 months of the year on a 30 ft boat on the canal du midi in SW france, a slow relaxed life that suits an old fart like me(I'm 67) . The exposed block & brick walls, the 7 ft sq rain smeared window overlooking a small dingy "courtyard" that has a pub called "jamboree" set into it which is frequented by a motley crew that perfectly suited the decor, or rather the lack of decor, dusty curtains, pitted walls & fairly huge oil paintings that appear to mirror the peeps looking up at them, Fantastic variety of musicians, the place is always hopping ! I loved every minute of my stay & I'd go back if Inga repaints the concrete floor & gets new pillows .xx Norman
Loved the location and the amenities, the bar downstairs drew in a big crowd and if you have time would be a good place to start your night out rather than trying to find somewhere further afield. We only had a short stay and it was perfect for that. BUT make sure Inga has given you the right phone number before you set off! She gave us the wrong number by a digit so we couldn't let her know we'd be a little late, which resulted in us carrying our heavy bags around London for 3 hours in the heat. As long as this doesn't happen to you, you'll have a perfect time, wasn't Inga's fault, just a bit of bad luck! Thanks Inga x
