Bright and spacious conveniently located apartment close to the Old Town and city centre. Flexible accommodation sleeps up to six guests in a combination of double, twin or super king plus additional sofa bed. Only a short walk to the Royal Mile, palace and parliament area (10 mins) and the city centre (15 mins) plus many restaurants, bars, theatre and cinema. Also good access to Holyrood Park and Calton Hill viewpoint. Free wifi, free on street parking and easy access to all parts of the city. Local supermarkets, cafes and specialist shops mean that everything is on hand local to the apartment. Full meet and greet service with all towels and linen provided.
DESCRIPTION OF THE APARTMENT
You enter into the hallway which provides access to all the living accommodation.The lounge has a bright corner bay window with dining table, flat screen TV and DVD, stereo and sleeping for two on the double sofa bed.
The separate well equipped kitchen has modern wall mounted units with integrated oven, hob, fridge/freezer, washing machine, microwave, cutlery, crockery, etc and everything you need for a fully self catered stay.
The master bedroom has zip and link beds which can be made up with either 2 single beds or a super king size bed and has a fitted large wardrobe.
The second bedroom has a double bed and also benefits from hand crafted wardrobe and desk area and a chest of drawers.
The bathroom has a fresh white three piece suite including both bath and shower.
The apartment has gas central heating, free high speed Wi-fi internet access and Virgin Media Cable TV.
The apartment is located one the first floor of a traditional tenement in the popular Easter Road area of Edinburgh, which lies close to the Old Town and to the east of the City Centre. The property is well positioned to take advantage of a superb range of local shops, cafes and delicatessens and a cosmopolitan selection of bars, cinemas, theatres and restaurants within the nearby Leith Walk area.
There is an excellent choice of sightseeing possibilities and leisure pursuits close at hand. Edinburgh's historic Royal Mile leading from the Palace to the Castle is easily accessed, as is the Scottish Parliament and the beautiful open spaces of Holyrood Park. Also within walking distance is the stunning viewpoint of Calton Hill where you can get views across the city and up to the Highlands in the north. For the more adventurous there is Arthurs Seat - Edinburgh’s highest hill just a short hike from the apartment.
Within 10 minutes walk are the Vue multi screen cinema and Omni Centre, Playhouse Theatre and the various bars and restaurants of Leith Walk. Good shopping is available in the city centre including Harvey Nichols, luxury shopping in Multrees Walk and the St. James Centre.
There is also an excellent bus service from near the apartment to all parts of the city.
We provide a 'meet and greet' service, whereby we will meet you at the property to hand over keys, show you the layout, provide local information and answer any questions you may have.
Upon arrival, your apartment will contain fresh flowers and a complimentary welcome pack to get you started: coffee, tea, sugar, milk and set of basic cleaning products (washing powder, liquid for dishes, liquid soap, toilet paper, garbage bags) . A guest information pack will provide you with instructions on the various appliances in addition to tips and suggestions for local shops and where to visit during your stay.
We welcome singles, couples, families and groups of friends however the apartment is strictly not suitable for stag or hen parties or rowdy groups.
The apartment is on the first floor accessed via stairs with no disabled access.
Master bedroom: super king size or 2 single for 2 guests,
Second bedroom: double for 2 guests
Lounge: 1 double sofa bed for up 2 guests
Please let us know when you book if you would like the master bedroom set up as super king or twin.
There is free on street parking immediately outside the apartment and on adjacent streets. This is available on a first come first served basis and can be busy but usually possible to find a space near the apartment. You may wish to leave your car parked as there is an excellent bus service throughout the city.
The apartment is around 15-20 minutes walk from Waverley train station. A taxi from the train station costs between £5-£10. From the airport by taxi takes around 30 minutes or you can catch the tram direct to the city centre (£5, 30 mins) followed by local bus (£1.50, 5-10 mins).
This is a well located and comfortable apartment and we hope you will enjoy your stay. Your host is also a tour guide in Scotland and can provide you with information on tours to sights such as Roslin Chapel, Loch Lomond, whisky distilleries, Loch Ness and the Highlands.

Check in is from 14:00 and check out by 10:00. For check in later than 7pm And before 10pm there is a £20 late check in fee. For check in times later than 10 pm and up to midnight the fee is £30. For late check in please contact us to discuss your requirements. It may be possible to check in earlier if there are no other guests leaving that day. Please contact the owner directly.
Apartment must be left clean on departure and rubbish removed.
There is no smoking permitted in the apartment and pets are not allowed.
All towels and linen are provided.
A travel cot and high chair are also available.

Sehr freundlicher Kontakt mit John Paul und auch mit Dawn in der Wohnung. Alles Wissenswerte wurde erklärt. Das Appartement enspricht völlig der Beschreibung und ist komplett ausgestattet. Die Strassen sind sehr belebt, was tagsüber sowieso nicht störte und die Schlafzimmerfenster waren neu isoliert so daß man nachts fast nichts hörte. Wir haben jedenfalls gut geschlafen. Beim Frühstück am Erkerfenster konte man schön den Verkehr beobachten. Sehr gute Busverbindungen und Bushaltestellen in kurzer Entfernung. Viele kleine Läden in der Nähe des Hauses und ein großer Supermarkt in 500 Meter Entfernung. Die Innenstadt mit den Attraktionen ist aber auch zu Fuß gut zu erreichen.
We, four ladies, came by taxi, 30 min. from the airport to the apartment, ande were met by a nice lady who told us everything we needed to know about the apartment. We also asked her about shops, buses and more, and she had good answeres to all our questions.
The flat was nice, clean and well equipped with flowers on the table. The beds and the linen were superb. Many shops close to the apartment, and 15 min. walk to the sity centre. From the diningtable we could see the life of Edinburgh.
Our hos John Paul Mason responded qickly and frendly to all our questions.
Very friendly welcome and clean, bright, comfortable apartment, as advertised. It's a great location, within walking distance from the city centre and Leith, but be aware it's just off a busy street (Easter Road) and can be a bit noisy. There is a lovely wine shop and delis at the top of Easter Road however, so this makes up for it! We had a lovely weekend and would stay here again.
Went to Edinburgh with friends for a 4 day stay: had the best time and really enjoyed the appartment. The appartement had everything we needed.The appartement was big enough for the 5 of us and was really clean. The fresh flowers on the table give a warm feeling.
With the taxi it is only 30 minute drive from the airport. There are many (little) shops/stores just around the corner, who are open all week. So we had fresh bread and coffee every day. It's about a 15 minute walk to the city centre.
The only small downside I can mention was the traffic noice, which could be heard from the bedroom. But we got used to it very quickly.
John Paul was a very good host, responded quikly to our mails and we could arrange clear appointment. Thank you, we had the best time!
